About Me

As you may have already guessed—I'm Brittany! I'm a 22 year old country girl from small town IOWA! I graduated from college with an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Administrative Assisting, and I'm currently making the transition from full-time student to the real world. I have a boyfriend—Ethan, who I always refer to as "the boy"—and we have been dating for almost 5 years. When he's not working we're usually hanging out, fishing, shopping, or traveling.We recently moved into our first home in the city!

MY BLOG STORY:

For as long as I can remember, I have always been interested in makeup. I can remember walking the beauty aisles of stores with my mom begging her to buy me makeup and nail polish. It wasn't until I turned 11(5th grade) when I started to obsess over makeup—around the time I started getting breakouts. I was always trying to find the right skincare products that would get rid of my acne and the right makeup that would cover it all up.

As I got older and entered high school, I turned to the internet for tips and tricks; and that's when I stumbled upon the YouTube beauty community. I've learned so much, and I have developed a few tips and tricks of my own. Because of my own personal struggles with acne and makeup, I wanted to create my own blog for those who were just like me—just looking for some guidance.

Since July 2011 I have been sharing some of my favorite nail art, makeup tutorials, and many of my favorite beauty products. I never thought I would still be blogging, but my amazing readers have been so supportive it would be impossible to stop.

SOME TIDBITS ABOUT ME:

Skin—I have a light to medium skin tone, and am very acne prone. It’s common for me to have a few breakouts on my face. My face is also generally very oily.

Hair—I have always had very thick, healthy hair that grows quick. My natural color is a light brown. I have been dying my hair a dark brown for five years.

Nails—Like my hair, I have been blessed with having strong and healthy nails that grow fairly quick. Because my nail beds are longer, I prefer cutting my nails into a square shape flush with the end of my finger.
