I have talked about a few of these products before on my blog, and some are new mentions! These products were game changers for me in the year 2013! I apologize in advance if my thoughts are scattered in the descriptions! Trust me--I wouldn't have included these products if I didn't love them!
Let's get started!
Hot Tools 1" Curling Iron--I received this for my birthday (December 2012), and I will forever be grateful. 2013 was the year of curly hair for me. No curling iron from the drugstore could ever do the job this iron does. It's truly amazing. If you have a hard time curling your hair or keeping your curls, you need to look into an iron that heats up between 430-450°.
One N Only Argan Oil Hydrating Mask--I used to buy the $4 packets of the forever popular Macadamia Natural Oil Hair Mask (I can't even remember the full name). BUT I will never have to anymore because I've found something that works just as great, if not, BETTER for less than half the price!
Batiste Dry Shampoo--I have oily hair, and I have to shower every day. This is by far the best dry shampoo I have tried. It's perfect for freshening up your hair after a long day, and it's great for second-day hair! I have NEVER been a second-day hair kind of girl, but the product certainly changed that!
Pond's Cold Cream Cleanser--AMAZING at taking off my makeup. I would so much rather use this with a washcloth to wipe away my makeup rather than using makeup wipes which brands you need more than one. The Pond's Cold Cream removes the Revlon Colorstay foundation with ease.
Freeman Mint and Lemon Facial Clay Mask--I have always loved the Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask, but this has been a great competitor, and I find myself reaching for this more. It smells amazing, and my skin feels so much more smoother after using it!
Vaseline Extra Strength Body & Face Lotion--I discovered this while trying to find a good lotion for the boyfriend. He is very picky when it comes to anything "beauty related". He loves this mostly because it soaks into the skin quickly (he hates greasy feeling lotions). He works in a factory where the humidity is very low because of what they produce, so his skin gets very dry. LONG STORY SHORT, I picked up a bottle to have on hand at my house, and I started using it! I fell in love with it, and I reach for it more than my "girly" smelling lotions!
Wet N Wild Fergie Collection Highlighter in Rose Champagne Glow--This is the product that got me "highlighting" my cheekbones. This product got me highlighting in general. I've tried higher end cream highlighters, but I prefer a powder version. This one works great!
Sonia Kashuk Eyeshadow Quad in Shimmering Sands--The quad that started me on my "glittery eyeshadow kick". I mean, sometimes a girl just needs a little sparkle! These colors are gorgeous!
NYX Single Eyeshadow in True Taupe--I've repurchased this twice! It's the perfect crease buffer shade! I've hit a little bit of pan, so I should probably go out and get a few backups...
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Smitten--These balm stains are incredible in general. I have collected a handful over the year, but Smitten was the first and my favorite of the bunch! It's a gorgeous pink, and it got me to expand my lip collection making me purchase many brighter, more colorful shades I normally wouldn't have before!
Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover--I couldn't forget to include this. It works great, and it's something I have to use before doing a manicure or pedicure!
Nailtiques Nail Protein Formula 2--I purchased this last product for my mom. She has very brittle nails, and I always like recommending products to her. I picked up a bottle for myself after I had taken off my acrylic nails because they looked the worse they have ever been. My nails only took a week to get back to their normal strength! This worked great for both my mom and me!
Let me know what you think about these products! What were your favorites of 2013!?
