Playing With COLOR.

I must say that the photos do not to justice to this look as much as I'd like them to!

Yesterday I had to run a few errands with my mom after she got off work, and I got experimental while doing my makeup. It's been a while since I've posted and eye of the day, but it's been an even longer time since I have worn this many colors on my eyes at once!

This look consists of navy, purples, and gold! I hope you enjoy--let me know in the comments if you like it!

HOPEFULLY THIS POSTED ON TUESDAY--I tried to set it so it automatically posted! Someone tweet me to let me know! ;) @BrittanysSecret

TOP 5 Drugstore Makeup Products!

If you have been following me for a while, you could probably sense that I am a drugstore kinda girl. I love splurging on high end makeup every once in a while, but I think there are a lot of great drugstore products out there!

I think all of these products would be a great for a starter kit. I'm not going to go into depth because I absolutely love all five of these products--I believe they all have been featured in my favorites!

L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black (Waterproof) Mascara

Revlon Colorstay Foundation

ELF Blush & Bronzing Contour Powder

L'Oreal Lineur Intense Carbon Black Liquid Eyeliner

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

I would love to know if you have tried any of these products and your opinions of them!

Back-To-School TAG

I wanted to do a few back-to-school posts, and figured I'd do the Back-to-School tag so you know a little bit more about me & school! I would love if you all did this tag and left me the links to your blogs in the comments--or just some of your answers!

  1. What grade or year of college are you going into?
I will be a senior in college. I attend a small community college about an hour from where I live—studying to be an administrative assistant!
  1. What are you excited and/or nervous for?
I am both excited and nervous because this fall is my last semester! I can’t wait to be done, but I don’t want to grow up yet…but I’m sure by the end of this semester I will be ready!
  1. What's your favorite part of getting ready for back to school?
Definitely buying school supplies and cleaning the house getting everything back to school ready.
  1. When do you go back to school?
My school starts this Wednesday (Aug. 22nd), but I will be on VACATION so I get to go back next Monday (Aug. 27th).
  1. What grade were you in when you first started makeup to school?
I believe I started wearing a little foundation and eyeliner in fifth and sixth grade. It’s when I started to break out and I was obsessed with eyeliner! Hahaha
  1. From where or whom do you get inspiration for back to school styles?
I wouldn’t say there is a specific person or place. I have my own style so I just usually wear something I would feel comfortable in.
  1. What are your favorite upcoming back to school/fall trends?
I really don’t keep up with trends!
  1. Where do you like to go shopping for back to school supplies?
TARGET! They ALWAYS have the cutest stuff!
  1. What are your favorite stores to go back to school shopping?
Target, JCPennys, Kohls…
  1. Will you be carrying a backpack or purse? Which do you prefer?
Backpack—BUT since my backpack is shot (I’ve had it since a freshmen in HS), I will probably just carry my books!
  1. What are three non-beauty essentials you carry in your backpack or purse?
Camera, Ipod, and PHONE! haha
  1. What are three beauty essentials you carry in your backpack or purse?
Foundation, mascara, and chapstick!
  1. What is your go to hair product and hairstyle?
Leave in hair conditioner—my go to hairstyle is throwing a leave in conditioner in and leaving my hair dry while it’s down, and then throwing it up in a messy bun when in school!
  1. What are your go to makeup products and go to makeup look?
Definitely foundation (Revlon Colorstay), mascara, and bronzer! My go to look is usually these three products—I always try to keep things simple!
  1. What are your go to clothing items? Accessories?
Jeans, Sweats, t-shirts, and boots—I’m so lazy! I usually just wear a necklace and maybe a watch!

That's it! If you have anymore questions about back to school just ask! I tag all of you to do this blog! Be sure to tweet me your links or leave them in the comments!

    SUNDAY FUNDAY: Vacation UPDATE!

Not much has been going on the past few days except cleaning and organizing and getting ready for school. I don't have a lot of pictures to show you, but I will probably be posting a Back to School TAG either later on in the day or early tomorrow morning!

I've got most of the school supplies...except new folders! I haven't been able to find any cute ones--any ideas where I could look!?

Some reading material for the long 14 hour drive to where we'll be vacationing!

All my school books finally came in the mail!

Are you guys excited to go back to school!? I sort of am.

I can't wait for vacation this next week though which brings me to my next topic. I will be leaving this Tuesday (Aug. 21st) and I won't be back until Sunday (Aug. 26th). I do have a couple posts planned, but I don't know if I will be able to post them where we are going so...I will probably post as soon as I get home on Sunday. It probably won't be another Sunday Funday--most likely a Monday Funday? haha I don't know what I'm going to do quite yet.

Whether you just have to work or it's your first week back to school, I hope you have a great week and weekend! I will talk to you when I can talk to you!

    HEMP Pomegranate Mango Body Moisturizer

After I bought this at Sally's about a month ago, I asked you guys on Twitter if you wanted a review, and got a lot of requests, so here it is!

I LOVE THIS MOISTURIZER!!This lotion just might surpass my obsession with the Triple Body Moisture Creams from Bath & Body Works. This stuff is completely opposite, but yet I love them both!

Let's start out with the price. This sells for $6-8 at Sally's Beauty Supply which I think is a great for the amount you get--18oz. Plus it comes with a pump--you know I love anything with a pump!

At my Sally's there were I think 4-5 different scents, but they all smelled great. I didn't have anything that smelled like this, so that's my reasoning for picking the pomegranate mango scent.

The thing that I love most about this lotion is that it sinks into your skin really quickly. Obviously it's not like instant, but it doesn't linger on the top of your skin like others do. It's very thin, but very moisturizing.

For me I have really dry elbows, and this has worked wonders! I've applied it almost every time I get out of the shower, and it's made my elbows so soft. I also use this as an "after sun" lotion.

This is definitely my new go-to warmer weather lotion. I like thicker lotions for the colder weather, but I will continue to use this through the colder months.

If you want to try this lotion out but don't what to buy the 18oz. bottle, you can also opt for the smaller bottle that Sally's provides.

Have any of you tried this moisturizer? Let me know your thoughts!

    FOR Audrey.

I've always contemplated whether or not I really wanted to buy this color--For Audrey by China Glaze. I have a similar color, and I never wear it! A couple weeks ago I bought it, and I'm just now getting around to trying it out.

I got to say that I don't LOVE it, but I don't HATE it either. Sure it might be the perfect "Tiffany" blue, but it's not a color I'd grab for regularly.

What are your thoughts on the color?

    Two Color IKAT Nails

I was going though my photos and found this two color Ikat nail art. I did this one right after I posted this Ikat tutorial, and now I know why I never posted--I did a HORRIBLE job at cleaning the green polish off my fingers, so they look REALLY dirty!

I hope you can look past that, and let me know what you guys think!

    JULY Favorites!

This month I've kept things simple because I've been on the go. Here are the few products that I have been loving to keep my routine simple and quick.

Special Effects Silk Drops Hair Serum--LOVE using this after I've straightened my hair. I apply it to the ends, and it makes my hair look so healthy. I also love that the tiniest bit goes a LONG way. Be careful not to use too much, or your hair will look like you just rolled in grease!

Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Control Moisturizer--I love this moisturizer because it has salicylic acid. It's fighting acne and moisturizing.

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation--This is the foundation I've been reaching for a lot. Mostly because it's a thin consistency, I don't need a lot, and I can use my fingers for application. It's great because it has a dewy finish and lately that's what I've been liking with my tan.

Wet n Wild Blush in Mellow Wine--I haven't been wearing a whole lot of blush this summer because my cheeks are tinted from the sun, but this is very pretty for those nights out and I want some added color.

Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Trio in Walking On Eggshells--EVERY girl should own this. These colors make a great look for every day. One of the cheapest trios, but you have everything in one little palette which makes it great for traveling.

This is a palette that I've put together of shadows that have come from drugstore quads, trios, and singles. Very random, but these are more of the neutral shades I've been wearing.

Loreal Voluminous Waterproof Mascara--I purchased my first tube of this mascara about a year ago, and it's been my go-to mascara ever since! LOVE LOVE LOVE how my lashes stay curled after I've applied it, and it builds for great volume and length!
Those were my favorites of the past month. Have you tried any of these products? What are your favorites!?
