I'm Ready for Summer Mani--Pink Wednesday

Who's ready for summer!? This gal is!

This weather we've been having is CRA-CRA! Last night it thunderstormed, this morning we didn't have power, it was nice and warm and sunny, and now it's crazy windy and snowing! It wasn't even supposed to snow today! haha

While I was without power this morning, I decided that I better get my nails painted! It's Wednesday, so I knew I had to do something with pink.

I recently purchased a new pink from China Glaze called Pool Party so I wanted to incorporate that. I also didn't just want to paint my nails just that color.

After thinking about it for a while, I figured I would do a gradient of all my China Glaze hot pinks! So here it is!

I hope you enjoy! What's on your nails today!?

What's really in your foundation bottles?

Looks can be deceiving...is this really Revlon's PhotoReady Foundation?

HELL NO! I hate Revlon PhotoReady! So much so that I switched my Revlon ColorStay and PhotoReady foundations! That's right! You hear everyone complaining, wishing that their ColorStay foundation came with a pump, but it's not gonna happen!

I love that my foundation now has a pump. It was so easy!

All I did was pop the top off of my PhotoReady, drained it into an empty ColorStay bottle, and then cleaned what was leftover in my PhotoReady bottle! I even cleaned the pump by filling the bottle with water and pumping the water through the pump.

I definitely suggest doing this--amazing how much product I can save and how much less messier it is!

Hope you enjoy!

Don't forget to follow me on Pinterest! I'd love to pin with you!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!

PS--We FINALLY got more snow! I had to take a picture to pretty much capture what is left of this winter!

Seven Deadly Sins: Beauty Edition

Hey guys! This is a tag that's been going around on YouTube, so I thought I would bring it to the blogging world! This tag for me is one of the most interesting. I hope you enjoy!

 1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?

I could have easily included an NYC lipstick that I found for under a buck for my most inexpensive product, but I figured that I would show you things that I love instead. My most inexpensive would be my ELF  Natural Looking Lush Lashes. These are only $1 and they are great! I can get 5-6 uses out of one pair!
I also had to include my ELF Professional Eye Shadow Brush...I love these as well. So much, in fact, I own 5 so that I never have to worry about cleaning them mid-week!

For my most expensive products, my Naked palettes. The original Naked is $48 and the Naked 2 is $50.

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?

I have a love/hate relationship with lip gloss and lipstick. I own quite a bit, they are so pretty, but I hate how messy they are. I usually only wear lip gloss to school, and even then the chances are slim. If you have a husband or boyfriend you will understand also! ;D

The product that has been the hardest to get is the Naked 2. I know I didn't buy it--it was a birthday gift from my parents--but it was still my responsibility to order it.
If you tried getting the Naked 2 right when it came out, you know that it sold out not even in an hour of releasing. I finally got it about two weeks after checking the site everyday!

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?

My most delicious beauty products would be pretty much anything from Victoria's Secret. Right now I get the most compliments when I wear Love To Dream ultra Moisturizing Hand and Body Cream layered with Sexy Little Things Noir Scented Body Mist on top! Love this combination, as well as layering each with other products. Can't go wrong with them on their own either.

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?

I never use moisturizer or primer. I know I probably should, but my face is already so oily.

5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self-confidence?

Absolutely my Revlon Colorstay. I can't just say foundation in general because Revlon Colorstay is the only foundation that I can say I absolutely cannot live without. No other foundation gives me as good of coverage as Revlon Colorstay. I have really bad skin, so this absolutely, hands-down is my confidence booster!

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

They have to have a unique smile, great dental hygiene, and facial hair! Haha you might think the whole facial hair is creepy, but every guy that I've ever found attractive has facial hair!

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

As far as beauty products--I honestly love getting perfume. Even if I don't like it all that much right away, I can grow into it or layer it. I love layering scents and making my own unique fragrances.
If I want a certain makeup item I will ask for it, but I love gift cards so I can choose.

That's it!
I am tagging all of you reading! If you have a blog I encourage you to do it! If you don’t please leave your answers in the comments!

Most Worn: Revlon Carbonite

I don't know why, but I've been obsessed with Revlon's Carbonite. I believe I found it at a Big Lots. I never used it when I bought it, but lately it's the polish I've been grabbing for. I love it! It goes with anything I wear and doesn't chip very much which has been great for these past few weeks!

Hope you are having a great week!

Just a little RAVE about a brush!

I've always never knew what to buy when I'd finally have the chance to walk into a MAC store or just visiting a MAC counter. The closest one to me is two hours away! I'm not saying if there was a store closer to me that I'd be all for MAC, but I would definitely try out products.

Right after Thanksgiving the boy and I road tripped to the big city for a hockey game, and we stopped and did some shopping. Long story short, I bought a brush set from the Glitter and Ice collection.

The set included the following five brushes:
212SE ($22.50)--I use for smudging my liner in my upper lashes.
217SE ($22.50)--I use for blending in crease colors.
239SE ($24.50)--I use for applying eyeshadow to my lids.
167SE (Limited Edition-Exclusive to the Collection?)--I use this for contour.
168SE ($34.00)--I use this brush for blush and occasionally highlighting

Full size of these brushes would have cost me AT LEAST $100. I got this set for $50.

I am so happy that I picked it up. I use these brushes every day, and I'm so happy that's what I bought.

If you are debating like I was--go for brushes. They're tools and you can use them every day. I was thinking about buying a MSF or Blush, but I figured I might not like it and I can't just return it so easily. I figured the safe way out would be with a brush set. I saved money and got some pretty great brushes.

I specifically wanted to do the post about the 217 though. I LOVE this one and it's my absolute favorite brush out of ALL of my brushes. The sides are tapered, so it fits so nicely and blends so well.

I bring this up because I am probably going to spend the $22.50 on a full-size this Friday when the boy and I go back to the big city. I would love to have two so I can keep one for lighter colors and one for the darker colors. Washing brushes isn't my favorite thing to do. In fact, I probably have washed my 217SE more times then I have washed any other brush in my collection. I wash it literally every other day! haha

I also want to try out the regular full size because I've heard that the brush set brushes aren't as great as the regular brushes. Someone said that they shed more than the regular and they aren't as well-made as the regular.

Whether you're in the need to buy something from MAC or you need a new crease brush--try this brush. I don't think I've heard anyone really say that they didn't like it!

Finally I would love to know what other MAC brushes or products are your favorites. Like I said, the boy and I are going back this Friday and any suggestions would be helpful!

I hope everyone is having a great week!!

NYX Smokey Eyes Palette

If you have a love for smokey eyes, this palette is one of the best! I was going through my makeup this morning and I was reminded that I have this bad boy! I bought it not too long after Thanksgiving and I use it on and off when I want to do a smokey eye.

Just wanted to share a few swatches and photos. I really love the textures of these shadows. They're very smooth and pigmented. They blend well also. You really can't go wrong with this palette. Its about $11 at ULTA.

Anyone else own this beautiful palette or the others in the line?

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Maybelline Color Tattoos & GIVEAWAY!?

I have been so stressed with school it isn't even funny. Yesterday I took the day off and spent it trying to find jeans! I hate shopping for jeans; I'm always disappointed! Anyways, I picked a few beauty related things up! One thing that I want to show you is something that I've been absolutely loving! You probably heard so many things about them already, but they are the Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow.

For the past month, literally every store that I looked in they were all sold out of the Tough As Taupe. That's the one that I wanted the most, the one that I thought I would get the most use out of, and the one that I could pair with a lot of the shadows I already own. Couldn't find it, so I bought the Too Cool shade. I wear it every once in a while. It's a nice base, and it really did stay and didn't smudge or crease all day. I love it, and like I said I've been on the search for the Tough as Taupe shade.

Well yesterday I finally found it! Target had it! And if I remember correctly, they were cheaper at Target then they were at CVS, Ulta, and Walmart. So I picked it up, and you have to be so proud of me! You have to be. I went all day and all night without putting my finger in it and swatching it! I waited till this morning until I could catch good light. I absolutely love this color! This I know will be used almost everyday. I wear so many taupe eyeshadows and this is going to make them last longer and completely make them look more alive! I could even wear this on it's own and be satisfied.

It's probably 3 hours after I swatched them, and I'm rubbing the swatches on the back of my hand it they aren't moving at all! Take note that you wouldn't rub your eye that harsh, but they are NOT moving and they still look amazing.

A lot of other bloggers and gurus say they are just as good, if not better than the MAC Paint Pots. I honestly have removed the MAC Paint Pot from my wishlist. I don't think I would spend the money one now.

Now that I've got that out of my system. I wanted to get your opinions about a Contest/Giveaway in the month of March. I've been really wanting to do one, but not sure what I should do. Really would like your opinions since you guys will be the ones entering!

Also--does anyone else love pinning things to Pinterest as much as me!? I've literally been OBSESSED with it! It's so much fun, and so resourceful! I think I learn more stuff through Pinterest, than I do at school! haha Follow me if you have one--I'd love to see what you're pinning! (Photo is a link to my profile)

Don't forget I'm on Twitter and I love to tweet! I love to tell you guys what I'm doing and the things I do. (Photo is a link to my profile)

Hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend!
