OPINIONS: Favorite Music

This weekend I was trying to think of something new I could do for my blog. Sunday's #bbloggers chat was all about "Too Much Information"--what to share, what not to share. I wanted to do something that could let us all get to know each other a little better.

I want to start "opinion" posts or "debate" posts. Each week I would think of a topic, give you a scenario and you all could let me know how you feel about the subject or the situation.

This week I want to know your opinions about music! What are your favorite songs!?

Here are mine...

What are yours!?

My take on ROSE GOLD.

It has been TOO LONG since I've posted, but the past two weeks have been so hectic! Between projects, finals, and getting all new windows in our house; there really hasn't been any time for me. My eyebrows need to be plucked, I need to give myself a pedi, and I need to dye my hair again!

I will get around to those things in the next few days, but right now I have a mani for you!

All I've been seeing is "Rose Gold"! Everywhere I look it's the new thing, and I wanted to try to incorporate it into a mani!

I could have easily gone out and just bought a rose gold polish, but what's the fun in that! I love to layer...and I think I've found a pretty good combination!

First, as always, I used a base coat--Seche Vite Crystal Clear Base Coat.

Next I used a very very thin layer of Revlon's Metallic polish in Gold Coin.

Then I took In Love (812005) from the Sally Girl Nail Color line from Sally's Beauty and did about 2-3 coats.

Finished it off with Seche Vite Top Coat, and there it is!

I know it's not dead on, I still love this color combination! I just love this glitter polish on top of anything!

Let me know what you think!? Do you have any rose gold polishes or color combinations!?

Question Wednesday--ALL about the LIPS!

I love answering these questions that Nykki puts out every Tuesday for Question Wednesday! It's a great idea to get to know one another better!

Last week it was all about the eyes...this week it's all about LIPS!

Here are the lip products that are in my drawer...I didn't feel like gathering the rest from my purse and school bag. I own way too many! haha

1.       Lipstick or Lipgloss?
Lipstick. I have quite a bit of lipgloss that I don’t ever wear. I don’t wear lip
products a lot, but I prefer lipstick for special occasions.

2.       Favorite Lipstick Brand && Why?
Revlon ColorBurst Lipsticks because they come in really pretty shades, and the formula is amazing!
They’re just so smooth and creamy!

3.       How often do you wear lipstick?
I only wear lipsticks on special occasions!

4.       Must have lip product{s}?
Maybelline Baby Lips! They’re really great for moisturizing, they’re so adorable!
EOS Lip Balms—Again, so cute and moisturizing!

5.       Current Favorite lipstick?
Revlon ColorBurst—Soft Nude! It’s the perfect nude for my skin tone, and nude lips
are really the only color of lips I wear!

If you have a blog, you should do this and leave your link on Nykki's post! If you don't have a blog, I would love if you left your answers in the comments!

Happy Hump Day!

APRIL Favorites :)

Here are my monthly favorites!

ELF Kabuki Face Brush--I don't know why I haven't tried a kabuki before, but this one is GREAT! (Sorry it's dirty!)

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent (001)--Even though I still get oily, I don't get as oily as quick in the day...makes my makeup look better for longer!

ELF Blush in Candid Coral--All this talk about corals made me think about pulling this back out! I don't know I ever stopped using it! I love the golden sheen that I get from it, can't wait till I get even more tan. Perfect little glow for my cheeks!

NYX Liquid Crystal Liner in Crystal Silk--I love using this to line my upper lash line. I love how it brightens my eyes.

Benefit Girl Meets Pearl--I've been getting tanner, so this is perfect for giving me a glow on my upper cheekbones!

Spornette Little Wonder--As you probably have noticed I have been curling my hair a lot. I like to give myself a little more volume by teasing my crown & this brush works perfect for that!

These are my favorites--I want to know what yours are for this month! Leave them in the comments! If you have already blogged about them, please leave your link! I would love to check them out! ;)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Thursday, April 26

I just finished my tube of the Clean & Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser, and I thought I NEED to do a review on this face wash!

For starters I just want to say that this is the only product that I have come across in the drugstores that has 10% Benzoyl Peroxide. TEN PERCENT! Normally you see either 0.5% or 2.0 percent, but this one has 10%!

Because it has such a high percentage, I knew that I had to try it.

I LOVE this cleanser. If you  have been following my blog, you might have remembered that I started breaking out really bad after I started using the Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer. I stopped using it, and my skin got a little better, but I was still getting horrible breakouts! That was about the time that I discovered the Continuous Control Cleanser.

Like I said earlier, I was impressed that this facial cleanser had 10% Benzoyl Peroxide. This is the ONLY kind of face wash that I have been using to clean my face while I'm in the shower. I believe that this cleanser has been the thing that's cleared up my face--granted I still get breakouts, but my skin is like it was before I had that MAJOR breakout, if not a little better.

The POSITIVES:
  1. I love the consistency. It's got the perfect amount of tackiness that holds it together when you rub it on your face.
  2. The price is really good--only $4-5.
  3. I love that it has 10% Benzoyl Peroxide. (BP works better on my skin than Salicycic Acid)
  4. I have pretty oily skin, so it didn't really dry out my skin like the package says it might.
  5. I only needed a little bit (probably two pea-size amounts)--product lasted me a little over a month.
The NEGATIVES:
  1. I didn't have any negatives! I LOVE this product, and I hope that it never gets discontinued!
 The VERDICT:

If you have bad acne or are just looking for a great cleanser, try this one out! If you have dry skin, you might want to be cautious using this product because of the higher level of benzoyl peroxide it contains.

Let me know what you think of this product? Are there any other products from the drugstore that have a higher amount than normal of benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid?

PINK PINK GOOSE--Whoops, I mean GOLD. ;)

Haven't done a Pink Wednesday post in forever! I wanted to use my new Sally Girl polish that I'd bought recently! Here's how it turned out!

I want to say that this is a DUPE for the ESSIE Luxeffects glitter polish in A Cut Above. I did buy A Cut Above for my friend for Valentine's day, so I never got the chance to try it out. This Sally Girl polish, however, looks really similar!

I also haven't worn a light pink lately because of all the bright colors that I've been wanted to throw on my nails. I used Essie Raise Awareness as my base, and then used the Sally Girl polish on top, excluding my ring finger. I used Milani Jewel FX in Gold to change things up!

Wish my nails were in better shape. Let me know what you think!
